On 12 June, 2023, Averroes organized a webinar on “Institutional Performance Leadership in the Qatari Public Sector” in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University. A virtual symposium that shed light on the methodologies of institutional performance and leadership in the government sector of Qatar.
The government sector in Qatar is strongly committed to enhancing institutional performance and leadership by developing effective systems and methodologies. This commitment is rooted in the sector’s crucial role in realizing the objectives of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and the associated national development strategies. Simultaneously, the government sector aims to enhance the service experience for a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and various levels of the population.
The symposium featured an eminent panel of speakers, including Dr. Saïd Elbanna, Dina Al-Emadi, and Mr. Ahmed Abounahia. They delved into various aspects of strategic planning in the government sector, emphasizing the significance of alignment and the role of measurement. Additionally, a case study was presented, highlighting the translation of government strategy into operational actions and the critical role of strategic performance leadership and capabilities.
