The Government Innovation Leaders Training Program (GILP) held its second cycle in collaboration with the Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council, the Global Innovation Institute, and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. This program was from June 11 to 15, 2023, with a primary focus on identifying and cultivating the culture of innovation among the government entities in the State of Qatar.
During the intensive five-day program, participants from government entities engaged with a diverse range of topics and tools centered around innovation. The curriculum covered key aspects of becoming a Certified Innovation Professional®, including Government Innovation fundamentals, Innovation Management, Ideation, Design Thinking, and the GInI® Government Innovation framework and how to leverage innovation to establish new partnerships through a series of lectures, panel discussions and activities.
The program was led by local and international experts in the field of government innovation. Distinguished guest speakers, including HE Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Mohanadi, Member of the Shura Council, Mr. Nayef Al-Ibrahim, and Mr Emad Saif, Mr Mohamad Al Attar and Prof Francis Yeoh shared valuable insights into innovative practices within their respective organizations. These presentations enriched participants’ understanding of the practical implementation of innovative concepts.
